Getting Started

How do I sign up as a supplier?
Click "List your service" on the homepage, then fill out 3 quick steps: your details, listing setup (location/photos), and review. Your profile goes under review immediately and you'll hear back within 24-48 hours.
What happens after I sign up?
After signup, your profile enters our review process. We verify your information and business legitimacy. While under review, you can explore Fête to see how other suppliers set up their profiles. Once approved, your dashboard unlocks and you start receiving inquiries.
How long does the approval process take?
We review submissions daily. Most suppliers are approved or rejected within 24-48 hours. You'll receive an email notification as soon as we decide.
What if my application is rejected?
If rejected, you'll receive an email explaining why. You can address the issues and reapply anytime. We want to help you get approved—if you're unsure about the reason, contact support.

Account & Verification

Do I need to verify my identity?
Identity verification is optional at launch. You can complete it within 7 days to earn the Verified badge, which increases your search ranking and planner confidence.
How does email/phone verification work?
During signup, you verify your email (by clicking a link) and phone (by entering a code). This proves your contact details are real and helps us keep the platform safe.
Can I change my email or phone after signup?
Not yet. Contact support and we can help you update your contact details.
What if I don't receive the verification email?
Check your spam folder. If you still don't see it, contact support and we'll resend it or help you verify.

Tier System & Growth

What's the tier system?
We have three tiers: Standard (you start here), Pro (5+ bookings + 4.2+ rating), and Elite (15+ bookings + 4.7+ rating). Each tier unlocks lower fees and better visibility.
How do tiers help me earn more?
Your Fête service fee decreases as you advance: Standard = 10%, Pro = 8%, Elite = 5%. So a $500 booking saves you $100 at Elite tier. Plus, Pro and Elite suppliers get featured placement and higher search ranking.
How is my rating calculated?
Your rating is the average of all planner reviews. Only completed bookings can be reviewed. Each review is 1-5 stars and counts equally.
What's the Verified badge?
Earn it after 3+ bookings. It signals to planners that you're reliable and have real track record on Fête. You can also get it faster by completing optional identity verification.

Inquiries & Bookings

How do I get inquiries?
Complete your profile with photos and accurate details. Respond to inquiries within 24 hours. The more complete your profile (photos, bio, pricing, service area), the more inquiries you'll receive.
What should I include in my profile?
Include: clear photos of your work, a bio describing what you do, your pricing range, your service area/location, and your availability. The more details, the more inquiries.
How do I respond to an inquiry?
When you get an inquiry, you'll see it in your Dashboard under "Recent inquiries." Click it to see the planner's details and message. You can reply directly or confirm/decline the booking.
Can I offer different pricing for different events?
Not yet. Currently you set a min/max pricing range. You can customize pricing per booking when responding to inquiries.
Do inquiries go to my email too?
Yes! You'll get both an in-app notification and an email. Respond quickly—planners often book within hours of sending inquiries.

Payments & Fees

How do I get paid?
After a booking is completed, the planner's payment is released to you. We process payouts weekly or monthly depending on your account setup. You can connect your bank account for direct deposits.
What are Fête's fees?
Standard tier: 10% of booking value. Pro: 8%. Elite: 5%. So if you book a $500 event, Fête takes $50 (Standard), $40 (Pro), or $25 (Elite).
When do I see payment after a booking?
After the event date, the planner's payment is released. Payouts happen weekly or monthly. You can set your payout schedule in account settings.
Do I need to connect a Stripe account?
Stripe integration is optional at launch. You can provide bank details and we'll arrange payments. Stripe is optional for future integration.

Messaging & Communication

How do planners contact me?
Planners send inquiries through Fête. You receive them in your dashboard and via email. You reply through Fête's messaging system—your personal phone/email stay private.
Can I give out my personal contact info?
You can include your phone/email in your profile. But using Fête's messaging keeps everything organized and tracked, and gives you protection.
What's the Fête Guarantee?
If something goes wrong with an on-platform booking (planner cancels unfairly, doesn't pay, disputes quality), Fête mediates and helps resolve it. This protection only applies to Fête bookings, not off-platform deals.

Reviews & Reputation

How do reviews work?
After a completed booking, planners can leave you a 1-5 star review with comments. Reviews are public on your profile and help future planners decide.
What can I do about a bad review?
Reviews are final. But you can respond to reviews (coming soon) to explain your side. Focus on delivering great service—most suppliers on Fête have 4.5+ ratings.
Do off-platform bookings count toward my rating?
No. Only Fête bookings count. This is why tiers and the Verified badge reward on-platform bookings—they build your reputation and growth.

Profile & Settings

Can I edit my profile after going live?
Yes! You can update your photos, bio, pricing, availability, and service areas anytime from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately.
How do I add more photos?
Go to /partner/photos in your dashboard. You can upload up to 10 photos. High-quality, clear photos of your work get more inquiries.
Can I change my category or location?
You can update your service area (cities), but category is set at signup. Contact support if you need to change your primary category.
How do I manage my availability?
Your calendar is in the dashboard. You can mark days/times as booked or unavailable. Planners see this when inquiring.

Safety & Support

Is Fête safe? What if a planner scams me?
We verify all accounts. If a planner cancels unfairly or disputes payment, contact support—we mediate. For off-platform bookings, we can't help, which is why we emphasize on-platform bookings.
How do I report a problem?
Email support@fete.com with details. We respond within 24 hours. For urgent issues, we're always here to help.
What if I want to pause or delete my account?
You can pause your account (stop receiving inquiries) or delete it anytime. Contact support to manage your account status.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and follow privacy regulations. Your data is never shared with third parties without your consent.
